Charity | Subject Awareness

"The first step toward change is awareness"

The charity sector is enthusiastically embracing the use of video for effective communication. Charities are passionate about their work and want to share the importance of their cause, powerfully, effecively and concisely. Video is not just for businesses and corporations.

Story-telling is an exceptionally potent form of connection. Gripping life-stories convey far more than infomation and knowledge, they provoke a response in the viewer who is invited a glimpse into the life of another. The following videos use stories to raise awareness about important issues and they were a privilege for us to produce. Please view them using the links below.

Jubilee House

A Second Chance

“I made a video for this new charity, Jubilee House. To be trusted with a persons story, especially one of vulnerability is a huge responsibility. I am so grateful to play apart in the re-telling of their stories, helping break taboos and bring hope to others.” ~ Phil Lidstone

Client Quote

“Although talking on film about my personal experience of domestic abuse was a daunting prospect, Phil helped me through the entire process. He seemed to be able to see the story through my eyes and put the video together in a very powerful way that really portrayed how I had felt. The video he produced for our charity (which helps women and children who are the victims of domestic abuse), is very professional and creative, but also so sensitive to the issue. Everyone who has seen the video has been very moved by it.” ~ Fiona, Jubilee House

OPEN

Opening an Opporutunity

“Sometimes I get asked to make short films on tough subjects – this one was no exception.

This girl was so courageous in telling her story and I am positive she is not alone. Care for Scotland are offering a step in the right direction in helping with this often difficult & taboo area.” ~ Phil Lidstone

“Phil has now produed three first class small films for us. His willingness to enter into the purpose of the film is inspiring; he really shows an active interest in the work we’re doing. His technical ability is second to none. But his greatest selling point is his humanity and friendly and likeable persona, which makes working with him a dream.” ~ Director, Care Scotland
